SEK&Co has earned the national distinction of being named by  Accounting Today as one of the 2011 Best Accounting Firms to Work for. Based on the criteria for this competition, our Firm is in the medium size category (50-249 employees). From  across the nation, only 45 firms of this size are selected for this distinguished award.

SEK&Co was named as a Leading CPA firm in the Capital Region by Accounting Today Magazine for 2011.  SEK&Co was recognized along with regional firms located in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia.  Regional Leaders included 168 firms nationwide that Accounting Today believes are “reshaping both the profession and the country.”

Smith Elliott Kearns & Company, LLC was awarded a 2010 Marketing Achievement Award from the Association of Accounting Marketing for its innovative Personal Development Training Program. The award-winning training program is designed to assist staff with personal development goals through a formalized internal education program.  Specific program objectives include: enhance commitment to client service, facilitate personal and firm growth, leverage talent, establish SEK&Co as the employer of choice, and develop the next generation of firm leaders.

SEK&Co was named one of the 100 Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania for 2010.  This survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the 100 best places to be employed in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses.

SEK&Co has been named as one of the Top 200 Accounting Firms in the country by INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA), an independent national industry newsletter.  The list, using net revenue as a guide, provides the most comprehensive national list of the top 200 accounting firms available.  According to IPA, SEK&Co ranks as the 172nd largest accounting firm in the country.
